    thanks for the software! looks much better than kbluetooth. However, I cannot connect to my nokia 6303
    dmesg is full of
    [ 537.335210] sr 1:0:0:0: [sr0] Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE
    [ 537.335217] sr 1:0:0:0: [sr0] Sense Key : Illegal Request [current]
    [ 537.335224] sr 1:0:0:0: [sr0] Add. Sense: Illegal mode for this track
    [ 537.335232] sr 1:0:0:0: [sr0] CDB: Read(10): 28 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 02 00
    [ 537.335246] end_request: I/O error, dev sr0, sector 0

    on my nokia, I get the prompt to accept a code which I accept. after a few seconds, the phone tells me that the connection failed. under windows7, everything works as expected.

    any other debug possiblites? I’m using the git version from 2010-08-05

      Well, you should report it in the bko, so we can keep track on the issue: http://bugs.kde.org, thanks!

    @Alejandro Nova
    Answer to myself: $ git clone git://projects.ufocoders.com/libbluedevil

    @afiestas: I’ve never seen my cell phone work the way it does work with BlueDevil under Linux. I’ve only seen that with the Broadcom Bluetooth stack under Windows 7 (full file manager integration, full support to sending & receiving files, device trusting, proper detection of all my device’s capabilities)

    I have downloaded sources, but can’t find INSTALL.TXT or other instruction how to compile it.
    System is Kubuntu Lucid. Running “cmake” didn’t help.
    How I must compile it?

    Is planned to include BlueDevil in KDE SC packages?

    • http://www.afiestas.org afiestas

      Yes is planned, for 4.6 hopefully

  • Murz

    @Murz
    I solve the problem with cmake.

  • Jaroslav Reznik

    Is there any official libbluedevil tarball somewhere?

    • http://www.afiestas.org afiestas

      I’m not sure if there are any public one, I will ask ereslibre next Monday

    Would be nice if Bluedevil will know what DUN is. I had to reinstall blueman to be able to connect via DUN to my cellphone so NetworkManager found new way of internet connection.

    • http://www.afiestas.org afiestas

      We’ll work on that for 1.1 version (the next one)

    I installed git, I did the instructions thus:

    git clone git://git.kde.org/bluedevil
    cd bluedevil
    git checkout stable
    cmake ./ -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr

    It fails with
    — Looking for LibBlueDevil
    CMake Error at cmake/modules/FindLibBlueDevil.cmake:36 (MESSAGE):
    Could not find LibBlueDevil

    Shouldn’t libbluedevil be part of, well, bluedevil itself? WHere is this libbluedevil?
